Your questions answered
Why Greenstock Pretreatment Facility?
Green chemistry is the design of chemical products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use of hazardous substances. Green chemistry applies across the life cycle of a chemical product, including its design, manufacture, use, and ultimate disposal. This principle calls for the use of renewable feedstocks with transparency across the supply chain. We aim to supply our customers with high-quality renewable feedstocks for the “green” processes they need to create more sustainable fuels.
What sets GPF apart from others in the industry?
Our facility distinguishes itself through a high degree of flexibility in the intake of degraded feedstocks. Our dedication to technological and operational innovation ensures that we deliver the quality and quantity our clients need. Our focus on waste and residue feedstock processing enables us to deliver high greenhouse gas saving feedstocks.
What services and benefits will GPF provide?
The facility will offer various services, including storage, blending, pre-treatment, logistics, and quality control. The primary benefits of partnering with us include a knowledge and market-driven team, flexibility in logistics, and a process that can handle a wide range of feedstocks. Our clients also gain access to quality and processing analysis, ensuring the best yield.
What quality improvements can be achieved through our pre-treatment processing lines?
Our pre-treatment processing lines are designed to refine a broad spectrum of feedstocks, from standard grades to those of the lowest quality. We address the removal of contaminants such as chlorides, metals, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, polyethylene, insoluble impurities (solids), free fatty acids, and water, among others. This process ensures minimal material loss while delivering an end product that meets the most stringent quality standards required for HVO/HEFA, SAF, and co-processing derivatives production.
How will GPF contribute to reducing the carbon footprint in biofuel production?
The Greenstock Pretreatment Facility will reduce its own carbon footprint by utilizing the best available technology. Our processes and practices are designed to be energy efficient within the boundaries of our utilities, ensuring a lower carbon footprint in biofuel production while minimizing waste.
When is GPF expected to be ready to receive and process renewable feedstocks?
The facility is expected to be ready to receive and process renewable feedstocks by Q3 2027. This timeline ensures that we can begin operations efficiently and meet our clients’ needs promptly.
